You will receive an online gallery link with all of your edited* photos within a maximum of 2 weeks (usually less depending on the season I photograph your story). I try my best to edit and deliver them as fast as possible, 72 hours, while giving the proper attention to detail.
You can download all the photos from the gallery, & they are ALL yours to keep. it is YOUR story, and it deserves to be told. I am not about those extra costs. It is vital that you carefully save your photos for future use because they will only be stored on the website for up to 3 months.
For a family with small children I try to keep it as fast and painless as possible. There is a lot of silliness that goes on behind the scenes to warm up the kids! A family session usually lasts 60 minutes depending on how well the kids are doing and how many good photos we get. I will not shoot a full hour if we get enough content in less time, or if the clients(usually kids) are no longer participating effectively. ;)
A newborn at home session takes around 2 hours. Between diapers, feeding, outfit change, spit-up etc. Also, if siblings join in that also adds time. But I'm flexible and just get it done as fast and peaceful as possible. The last thing anyone wants is a stressful photoshoot after having a baby. its really all about you enjoying your new bundle, and I'm invited in to document it!
Engagement/Couple shoot is allotted 1 hour.
I try to be very flexible with my time here and will take as short or long as needed to make sure we get the right amount of pictures.

A mini session will last 20 minutes and averages about 20 pictures. These are only offered on select dates.
For a family session there will be around 30-50 images.
A newborn session is longer and will contain between 75-100 images..
Engagement/couple sessions contain about 50 photos.
Standesamt/Elopements range from 100-250 depending on how long I am booked for. (1-3 hours max)
& YES I will include all of the best pictures! The ones worth framing, showing off to all your family and friends, & the ones that represent you best.
The answer is simple, I cannot give you the raw files because they are unfinished work. You are paying me for a finished and beautiful work of art. My editing style is part of my work and it's part of what makes me unique. Good and careful editing is also what makes your story look the best it can. I carefully select the best of your photos and fine tune them in the hopes that you'll want to print and hang them ALL on the wall because you love them so much. My goal is to include as many photos as possible so that your whole story is shared but without being repetitive. When choosing which photos to keep and edit, I always ask the questions; "Is this something they would want to print? Does this inspire? Does this evoke emotion?" There are also some pictures that appear good in camera, but out of camera are not the quality that represents my work best and therefore will not be included in the album. So far, all of my clients have been more than happy with the amount and variety in their albums provided.
I do not offer printing services, but I highly recommend using a reputable printing company to ensure that your photos represent the high quality that that are. Failure to do to (ex:home printer/pharmacy) will result in a less than ideal result. Please please please, print your photos to enjoy, and please print quality. :)
